Myself: I can't believe I finally get to meet you. I have read so many of your books and I think you are a truly passionate writer. Tell me a little bit about your favorite book or books that you have written.
C.S. Lewis: That is such a hard decision but because of the huge impact it made, I'd have to say I enjoyed my series of The Chronicles of Narnia the most. That was definitely the most successful and I think I became much more well-known because of this story.
Myself: That was definitely my favorite story that you created. What inspired you to write something like that?
C.S. Lewis: Honestly, I just kind of came up with it as I went. Aslan, the lion was inspired by Jesus Christ. Shortly after I left the Christian faith I started creating The Chronicles of Narnia. Aslan is the God figure in the world of Narnia and he has power over everything. He has similar powers as Jesus Christ. Even at the end of The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe Aslan came back to life, just like Jesus Christ supposedly did.
Myself: That is really interesting. I had no idea how Aslan came to be. I know some of your books were aimed towards an older audience, why was The Chronicles of Narnia made for a younger audience?
C.S. Lewis: I wanted to appeal to all different ages. I thought that children who grew up with my books would some day want to read my adult books. I thought that it would give me a wider fan range.
Myself: That is really smart of you. Not all authors think about those things. Some authors are just prone to writing for one specific age group. I like the fact that you have many books that appeal to all different age groups.
C.S. Lewis: Thank you, I take pride in my work. Is there anything else you'd like to know?
Myself: I don't think so, I am just glad I got to have a conversation with you. You are such an inspiration to young writers like me.
C.S. Lewis: You enjoy writing as well?
Myself: Yes, I hope to some day write a book of my own. In the mean time, I am taking in tips from other authors.
C.S. Lewis: Well good luck to you. Never give up on your dream. Even though you will most likely get denied more than once, keep trying to get your book published because someone will like it. When they do, it could be the biggest success of your life. I know it was for me.
Myself: Thanks C.S. Lewis, I appreciate the advice very much.
C.S. Lewis: You're welcome.

Endnote
I learned a lot about C.S. Lewis while making this dialogue. I learned about his inspiration to write The Chronicles of Narnia and why he wanted to write different books for different age groups.
The audience for this genre would be anyone who wants to know more about C.S. Lewis. I would say it is 4th grade and up reading level and any fan of C.S. Lewis would benefit reading this. Anyone who is a big fan of The Chronicles of Narnia would also enjoy this dialogue because it talks about how Aslan came to be. This is interesting to know because it gives a whole new viewpoint on the story.
I, Samantha Bogdanovich, chose to do a dialogue with a person (myself) because I thought it would be easiest to talk as myself and "ask" C.S. Lewis questions that I actually wanted to know the answer to instead of pretending to be someone else.
I integrated the official website of C.S. Lewis into this genre. It talked about his life and who he was as a writer. I felt that this was a good idea because asking questions is a good way to get answers that you want to know. It also is an easy way to express information.
I think that this genre is successful because it accurately portrays information about C.S. Lewis in a fun way that is easy to read. I feel that I was able to communicate C.S. Lewis' identity as an author very well.
